Refund policy
PLEASE NOTE - RESTOCKING FEE: We use Shopify Payments to handle our payments. When we process a refund, Shopify don't reimburse the payment processing fees they've charged on your order, therefore theses fees may be deducted from your refund at our discretion. We may charge a 4% restocking fee which covers the processing fees charged by Shopify Payments, especially on high value orders. Please take this into account when cancelling or returning an order. If you don't wish to be charged a restocking fee on cancellation/return, then we recommend buying from one of our online marketplace shops: www.etsy.com/shop/opulentantiques or www.ebay.co.uk/str/opulentantiquesstore.
We have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
The customer is responsible for return shipping costs. If the return is accepted and received, we will refund the full order amount minus the outward postage costs and any taxes or fees.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. All the items sold are used, therefore expect signs of use and age. Please study the listings picture and description to satisfy yourself with condition.
Exceptions / non-returnable items
Items that are not in as sold condition cannot be returned. Items damaged by the customer after receipt of the item will not be accepted for return. If they're deemed to be in not as sold condition, the return may be refused or returned to the customer. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.
Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item. The value for the original item will then be refunded in due course.
European Union 14 day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
