DESCRIPTION: A absolutely stunning pair of antique solid 14k & 9k gold opal earrings. The opals are of good quality, with mesmerising fire and a gorgeous blue colour. To confirm, the gold that the opals are set in is solid 14k gold, they've been added onto a set of solid 9k gold screw backs at some point in their life. The earrings weigh a combined total of approx. 1.38g and the size dimensions in the latter photos. As to be expected with their age, the opal sections aren't stamped/hallmarked, they test for solid 14k gold. The screws are stamped "9ct" and also test for 9ct gold. The screws open/close well. One of the earrings has had a repair, a line bail has been added to the rear, where it's connects to the screw back section.
