PLEASE NOTE: THE REAR FACE HAS BEEN REPAIRED WITH SOME FORM OF RESIN - READ BELOW FOR MORE DETAILS. DESCRIPTION: A genuine antique Victorian solid 9ct gold back and front locket, adorned with genuine coral and seed pearls, surrounded by blue enamel. The locket opens/closes well and has the original glass on one side. To confirm, the locket isn't rolled gold or gold plate, it has a solid 9ct sheet of gold on the front and the back, the frame, hinge and bail are base metal. It weighs approx. 8.76g and the size dimensions are in the latter photos. The enamel has a few sections missing and has some marks/scratches in areas.. As t be expected with the items age, it isn't stamped/hallmarked, it tests as explained above. PLEASE NOTE: The rear face looks like it has split and cracked at some point in its life, it has then been sealed shut with a form of metal resin. You can see the dark metal resin on the rear and side of the locket. The locket has a bit of a rough edge on the cracks and splits. I've reduced the price of the item heavily due to the condition. The metal picture retaining shim on the repaired face is sealed in, therefore can't be removed.
