DESCRIPTION: A stunning antique solid 9ct rose gold back and front locket, adorned with a genuine diamond (100% tested). The item is stamped "9ct Back & Front", weighs approx. 4.91g and the size dimensions are in the latter photos. To confirm, the item is a 9ct gold back and front locket, this means the outer shell of the front and back are a sheet off solid 9ct gold, fitted onto a base metal frame, hinge and bail. This was a common way for antique lockets to be crafted, it made them cheaper then all gold lockets and more durable as the innards wear made from harder base metal. PLEASE NOTE: The item has numerous dents in it. The rear has recessed inwards and is dented and the face is dented near the bail. The inside has dark marks and patina to it. The item opens and closes, it doesn't 'click' but holds well. I've reduced the price of the item accordingly.
