DESCRIPTION: A beautiful and rare antique Georgian (c1820) mourning ring, made from solid 9ct rose gold. The ring has a glass locket front which has woven hair in its core, surrounded by genuine seed pearls. The ring isn't hallmarked which is a great sign of age, it tests for solid 9ct 375 gold. It sizes approx. at UK K or US 5.25 and weighs approx. 3.07g. As to be expected with age and use, the glass face and gold have surface marks and scratches on them. It looks like it has been resized at some point, you can see the cut on the shank. There are some filing marks on the inside of the shank, I imagine from where a previous owner has tested the item for gold (see pictures/video).
