DESCRIPTION: A rare antique Georgian natural seed pearl mourning locket brooch, made from solid 9ct gold and mother of pearl. The locket section opens/closes well and the glass pieces are intact. The rose gold coloured metal is solid 9ct gold with some base metal elements like hinge pin etc. The brooch has been handmade from mother of pearl and threaded with natural seed pearls, in an intricate cluster pattern. It weighs approx. 7.51g and the size dimensions are in the latter photos. As to be expected with the items age, it isn't stamped/hallmarked, it tests as explained above. PLEASE NOTE: There are numerous pearls missing and the thread has loosened in various areas, leaving some of the pearls hanging and with a wobble. I've reduced the price accordingly.
