DESCRIPTION: A stunning and sparkly genuine antique Georgian paste brooch, made from solid silver. The piece has a solid back and old cut foil backed pastes. The silver isn't hallmarked but tests for high grade silver. The pin is made from base metal. The item weighs approx. 5.78g. As to be expected with age and use, some of the pastes have darkened but in general it still has a nice sparkle. It looks like originally the item was a button and converted to a brooch in the Victorian era.
