DESCRIPTION: A fantastic and very old antique reliquary crucifix necklace pendant, on its original chain. It's hard to say exactly how old this is, judging from the design and craftsmanship its at least Georgian. The item is made from a silver tone base metal, which has been hand engraved and finished with niello. One side depicts with Jesus and the other a cross. The screw on the cross still removes and the item opens. There's nothing inside, so maybe Indiana Jones has taken the relic! The item weighs a total of approx. 48.36g and the circumference of the chain is approx. 54cm or 21.2". The item has mainly a silver tone colour to it, this plating has worn in areas showing the copper coloured metal underneath.
