DESCRIPTION: A beautiful antique rolled gold locket, adorned with a sapphire paste and seed pearls. It opens/closes well and has the metal picture retaining shim for one side. It weighs approx. 7.14g and the size dimensions are in the later photos. As to be expected with the items age, the rolled gold finish has worn in areas, see pictures/video. I believe the original rolled gold was yellow, this has worn in areas showing the coppery rose gold tone metal underneath, therefore the locket has both patches of yellow and rose gold colour. The inside has a very rough jagged texture to it, I'm not sure why. The texture looks original tom me and is not a defect or repair from what I can tell.
