DESCRIPTION: A beautiful antique mid Victorian solid 9ct 375 rose gold locket, in a shield shape and intricately hand engraved with buckle engraving. The locket is made completely of solid 9ct 375 rose gold, it's not a back and front gold locket, all the metal is solid gold including the hinge and rims. It's stamped with a British Victorian kitemark, which dates the item to 1863. It has the metal picture retaining shim on one side. It weighs a total of approx. 4.17g and opens/closes well. As to be expected with the items age, there are some minor dents in the faces, see pictures/video.
