DESCRIPTION: A stunning and petite solid silver antique Victorian butterfly brooch, adorned with genuine garnets (100% tested) and peridot/olivine tone pastes. The item has a gold vermeil finish which has worn with age. The item weighs approx. 2.95g and the size dimensions are in the later photos. As to be expected with the items age, it isn't stamped/hallmarked, it tests for high grade silver (800+). PLEASE NOTE: The brooch should have a special spring loaded mechanism, when the wings are pulled back the pins open. There's meant to be a spring in the mechanism which forces the pins back together. The spring is missing, meaning the pins don't return and are loose, making it difficult to wear. You may find a way of fixing it or upcycling it into something else. I've reduced the price accordingly.
