DESCRIPTION: A genuine antique Victorian solid silver cable link chain necklace, with its original barrel clasp. It measures approx. 42cm or 16.5" in length when unfastened, is approx. 1.5mm thick and weighs 1.47g. As to be expected with the items age, it isn't stamped/hallmarked, it tests for high grade silver (800+). The male on the clasp is silver plate base metal, this was common for barrel clasps from this era and the metal is harder wearing than solid silver.
