DESCRIPTION: A lovely antique Victorian pietra dura brooch, mounted in a solid silver frame with a gold vermeil finish. The brooch has has nice detail to it, there are some minor chips in areas and a deep scratch on the black hardstone backing, but apart from that the pietra dura isn't in bad shape. As to be expected with the items age, it isn't stamped/hallmarked, it tests for high grade silver (800+). The item has had some old lead repairs to the clasp, hinge and bail (see pictures/video).
