DESCRIPTION: A nice quality and rare antique sterling silver genuine blue john brooch, in the shape of a riding crop/cane. The brooch is stamped "SILVER" and tests for sterling 925 silver. It weighs approx. 4.39g and the size dimensions are in the later photos. Blue john is an extremely rare mineral and can only be found in Derbyshire in the UK (not far from me), it is in fact Britain's rarest mineral. PLEASE NOTE: There is a hairline fracture in the face of the stone, see pictures. Blue John has as a gemstone has many natural inclusions and formation lines, therefore I'm unsure if this hairline fracture is natural or not.
