DESCRIPTION: An ornate and high quality antique Victorian solid 9ct gold mourning locket, decorated with a black enamel and seed pearls. It opens/closes well and has the original picture retaining shims and glass on both sides. It weighs approx. 16.05g and the size dimensions are in the later photos. As to be expected with the items age, it isn't stamped/hallmarked. It tests for solid 9ct gold with a base metal inner structured frame. PLEASE NOTE: The enamel is chipped in areas. There is some chipping and marking on the face, the chip hasn't gone all the way through the enamel, therefore it still looks black. The rear has a large chip near the bail, the chipping has gone through, showing the gold underneath, see pictures/video. I've reduced the price accordingly.
