DESCRIPTION: An absolutely superb antique Victorian solid 9ct 375 gold cameo brooch. All of the border is solid 9ct gold and highly detailed, with a leaf and grapevine decoration. It's also adorned with two seed pearls which is a nice touch. The cameo depicts a lady below a tree, with her dog and a lyre. It's beautifully detailed with high relief. The item weighs approx. 21.25g and the size dimensions are in the later photos. As to be expected with the items age and type, it isn't stamped/hallmarked, it tests for solid 9ct gold and there is a fair amount of gold in the item. The cameo has an age fissure in the top right (see pictures/video). This isn't an impact crack, its a line which has developed through the shell aging and not being oiled.
