DESCRIPTION: A brilliant antique Victorian solid 9ct gold and diamond paste mourning locket brooch. The back opens/closes well and has it's original glass insert. The overall condition of the brooch is good, the pastes still have sparkle and there are no major dents/cracks. As to be expected with the items age, it isn't stamped/hallmarked, it tests for solid 9ct 375 gold with a 18ct gold plating. It was common for the Victorians to plate 9ct gold with a higher carat plating, to give it a richer gold tone. The total weigh is 7.09g and the size dimensions are in the later photos. There are some minor marks and scratches on the item as to be expected with age and use.
