DESCRIPTION: An eye catching antique Victorian solid 9ct gold mourning locket brooch. The glass back opens and closes like it should. As to be expected with the items age, it isn't stamped/hallmarked, it tests for solid 9ct gold. The hinge, clasp, pin and glass locket border are made from base metal. The item weighs approx. is 7.27g, the item has about 3.5g/4g of 9ct gold in it, therefore I'm selling the item at its scrap price. I'd rather sell the item as is than melt it down for scrap, especially with the age and history of the item. The size dimensions are in the later photos. PLEASE NOTE: As explained above the front has a perforation in it. The border is missing one bead. The clasp has an old lead repair on it. I've reduced the price of the item accordingly and as explained above I'm effectively selling it at its scrap/melt price.
