DESCRIPTION: A stunning antique Victorian shield locket, made with a solid 9ct 375 gold front and back. It's not a rolled gold or gold filled locket, the outer casing of the front and back is solid 9ct 375 gold, with a base metal frame, hinge and bail. The item has been ornately hand engraved and has both of the picture retaining shims for both sides. It weighs approx. 3.30g, opens/closes well and the size dimensions are in the later photos. The item is stamped "REAL GOLD" on the rear and tests as explained above. PLEASE NOTE: The inside rear has some dark marks which I can't clean off, it also has some deep scratches (see pictures/video). The gold is a mixture of rose gold and yellow gold, it has a patches of either. I think it has had a gold solder repair at some point and the heat has made the gold change tone in areas.
