DESCRIPTION: A brilliant antique Victorian solid 9ct gold intaglio gemstone brooch, depicting the Virgin Mary. The gemstone is carnelian and has been tested. The item weighs approx. 5.90g and is stamped "9ct". The size dimensions are in the latter photos. As to be expected with age and use, the gemstone has some marks and rubbing on the face (see pictures/video). The hinge looks like it has been repaired and soldered at some point.
