DESCRIPTION: A lovely antique Victorian genuine shell cameo brooch, mounted in a solid 9ct 375 gold frame. The cameo itself has good detail with a high relief. The item weighs approx. 5.31g and the size dimensions are in the later photos. To confirm, the outer border of the frame is solid 9ct gold (the star decorated front section). The rear panel of the frame is made from a gold tone base metal. It was common that cameos were made this way during the Victorian era. As to be expected with the items age, it isn't stamped/hallmarked but tests as explained above. There is a dent in the top of the 9ct gold border, see picture 7.
