DESCRIPTION: A gorgeous antique Victorian shell cameo brooch, depicting Dionysus and mounted in a solid silver frame. The cameo is beautifully hand carved with nice detail and relief. The cameo itself is Victorian, it has been remounted at a later date. The item weighs approx. 11.75g and the size dimensions are in the later photos. As to be expected with the items age it isn't stamped/hallmarked, it tests for high grade silver (800+) with a gold gilt finish. PLEASE NOTE: The cameo has some cracks on its edge, see pictures/video. I've reduced the price accordingly.
