DESCRIPTION: A sweet pair of antique Victorian bird earrings. The earrings are made from solid silver and also silver plate. The screws, front section and rim are made from solid silver. The rear section is made from silver plate (you can see the gold tone base metal underneath where the silver plate has worn, see picture 7). A lot of Victorian buttons wear made this way, so I imagine the earrings were made by a button maker. They weigh a combined total of 5.71g and the size dimensions are in the later photos. One back is stamped "SILVER", the other is a silver replacement. I've also tested the earrings for silver and they test as explained above.
