DESCRIPTION: A beautiful and ornate antique Victorian solid silver gold vermeil book chain necklace, complete with it's original rock crystal quartz pendant. The item has it's original bolt ring clasp and the book chain has been hand engraved with a floral scroll pattern. It measures approx. 51cm or 20" in unfastened length and weighs approx. 60.94g. As to be expected with the items age and design, it isn't stamped/hallmarked, it tests for high grade silver (800+) with a gold vermeil finish. As to be expected with use, the gold vermeil has worn in areas, showing the silver underneath in areas. The item still has an overall gold hue. The item has some dents and creases in the silver, there is one crease in a chain link and some dents on the balls on the pendant. The pendant section is also missing a small piece of filigree decoration (see pictures/video).
