DESCRIPTION: A very rare and working antique Victorian coin padlock clasp, made from Victorian sterling silver threepence coin (1861) and base metal fittings. The item has it's original key and opens and locks shut as it should. It weighs approx. 4.30g and the size dimensions are in the latter photos. PLEASE NOTE: The silver coins have a dark colour to them (see pictures/video). I've tried to polish them with a silver cloth but I can't remove the dark colour. I'm not sure why they've gone dark, it could be due to the base metal used on the rest of the lockets has reacted with the silver in some way.
