PLEASE NOTE: THE BLUE JOHN DOUBLET GLASS HAS CHIPPED IN TWO PLACES ON ONE SIDE AND THE DOUBLET ON THE OTHER SIDE HAS FOGGED WITH AGE. DESCRIPTION: A large vintage sterling silver and genuine blue john doublet pendant. The pendant is fully hallmarked for sterling silver, dating to 1987. It weighs approx. 10.65g and the size dimensions are in the later photos. Blue john is an extremely rare mineral and can only be found in Derbyshire in the UK (not far from me), it is in fact Britain's rarest mineral. PLEASE NOTE: As explained above, on one side, the glass that covers the blue john doublet has chipped in two areas (see pictures/video). On the other side there is some fogging in the doublet, between the blue john and the glass front. I've reduced the price accordingly.
