DESCRIPTION: A genuine vintage solid silver blue john doublet brooch. The item weighs approx. 18.63g and the size dimensions are in the later photos. Blue john is an extremely rare mineral and can only be found in Derbyshire in the UK (not far from me), it is in fact Britain's rarest mineral. The item isn't stamped/hallmarked, it tests for high grade silver (800+). PLEASE NOTE: The blue john doublet has fogged/darkened in areas. This is where the doublet backing has altered with age and use, see pictures/video. I've reduced the price accordingly.
